Description

Mike said the pages in the issue which show the underground weren't originally planned. This was the original page 17 for the issue before the underground panels were added to the story. The top panel from this page is the top panel from published page 17, and the bottom five panels are very similar to the top five panels from published page 19. He also said when he first did this scene he hadn't come up with the idea of Hellboy getting his left eye back yet, so it's still missing here.

Nice demo of how he inks the fills. Seems so chaotic, but it's very flawless and controlled where it doesn't go over anything it's not supposed to.
