Description

Bought this page because it's a powerful moment and I also wanted a page from the Valiant Universe.

This depicts Toyo Harada (who becomes one of if not the most powerful psiot in Valiant) having to witness his mother die during an atomic bomb blast as just a young boy. The realistic and detailed style of Mico Suayan renders it even more powerful.

That second panel is the one that really gets to me.

I really like these tales that take a villian and flesh out the backstory to add context. It isn't always an easy balance to take when adding layers of logic to a pillar of power in a comic universe.

Kid Harada's yelling, "Oppenheimer!" Mico's amazingly realisitc photographic style captures an impossible to photograph moment that changed the course of human history.
