I worked the helmet as a foreboding “pre”, setting up for the flip side. The reflected sand and curl are also a preview of the backside.
To have a greater, “this is old and doesn’t move” feel, I added crabs and seagulls like most beaches would have. I got most of my joy with the animals here like the birds fighting over a crab. I made a clay maquette to get the angle right, then added patina to the metallic construct. We did not get a ton on the lore of this construct, therefore I assumed since it is on a coast it was Nephalia and one of those Geist-powered creations that were dormant, for now.
