Such nice, clean lines. I vaguely remember details, but Pat Lee and his brother were really hot commodity's at the time this came out. But not too long after, there was a big controversy/scandal with accusations that the Lee brothers weren't actually the ones providing all the art and that other artists were doingthe work but not getting paid, or some such. As I say, very vague memories but I remember it getting a lot of press coverage in the comic book news at the time. Might be worth a Google search!

All very infamous in TF circles and true. (My buddy would tell you this was allegedly drawn by Pat Lee. 🤣)

Sweet niblets. Are they the Milli Vanilli of comic art?

Dreamwave finally put the sleek modern look into the comics that more resembled the toys and animation for full brand synergy.  You can tell that while cool and industrial, there is still a lot of passion and fandom in the art.  It is the template that was followed through to IDW until recently.
