Description

This dynamite rendition of Batman perching in shadow rounds out a trio of Batober pieces from Keith this year.

While this moment has been done countless times over the years, Keith’s rendition reminds me of Batman: The Animated Series with a touch of The Long Halloween.

Maybe that’s because my pal, Brian, got a great Samnee drawing of Carmine Falcone this Batober and I’ve got Long Halloween on the brain. But I have fond memories of Batman doing this to Falcone in that seminal story, and I’ll take any opportunity to be reminded of my pal, Tim.

I love how Batman's upsetting the orderly geometry as he enters.

So evocative. I can, quite literally, hear the clack of the doors and the flapping of the draps as the wind sweeps into the room making way for the Dark Knight.
