This page perfectly encapsulates The Hulk's associations with past super-teams as well as his love for not only Betty Ross, but also his love of scientific research. As you mention, it being illustrated by a quintessential Hulk artist makes it all the more special.

Many thanks, Rick!  As I mentioned to Rubén, I tried my best to resist purchasing this piece but it was, as you say, such a great standalone page that I succumbed in the end.

It's huge recap page to set up the story for new and longtime readers.  These 1983 annuals were still targeted for a wider audience of the newsstands.  It's a standalone jumping on point for new readers and we don't mind seeing the story told again because we get some great artwork to look at.
