DescriptionHere is the third in a sequence that is worth the wait. Burma has blown her top! Then she starts using them fightin' words. What happens next? Imagine being 13 years old in 1936 when other than the newspaper strips you listened to the radio in the evening for entertainment there wasn't much else. No television or video games or Instagram. Action Comics #1 was still a few years away and you couldn't wait to read the next days episode on not just this strip but a dozen others. This was a golden age for comic strips. So much great art by Milt. Also, if you were 13 in 1936 you would have turned 100 years old in 2023...Social/Sharing |

The acting is absolutely astonishing. It's almost like she's over the top like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, one of the best acting performances by a female lead of all-time! That third panel, she got Bette Davis eyeeeeeeeeeees!

Killer strip Jeff...an amazing exchange between the characters! And wow...that last drawing of Burma is among my favorites.
