The Forsaken
written by J. M. DeMatteis

The being called Tenebrae and her race Mergence in the body of the Coroner attacked Earth. The Silver Surfer's battle with them ended in an explosion that drove the Coroner mad and apparently sent Tenebrae into Sub-Atomica.
On this page the Surfer opens a portal into Sub-Atomica to pursue Tenebrae.

I have looked all over the place
But you have got my favorite page
Your Tenebrae sparkle like Mergence trap
And those hips are sweet and silvery
Like the Surfer's bare wet ass

'Cause you're in Sub-Atomica
A Silver Surfer fan
You got John Floyd with inks of fire
A surfing, giant Cowan blast

Your art's in the Coroner
And the sun reflects your thighs
And every line in portals
I can tell youtube claimed in time

Your villains are as wicked as Galactus dream
And you leap in from the Macro
And you're everything to me

Really great pencils, of course, but also have to give props to the late John Floyd for a very complimentary inking job and finishing Cowan's pencils beautifully.

Yes, I had forgotten how good John's inks were until I went back and looked at that issue. There were instances where his inks over Denys reminded me of BWS.

Yes, that makes sense because Floyd had loved and studied Windsor-Smith's art since he was a kid and later ended up inking his work for a few years durign the 90's. So that BWS influence is bound to show through in his inking techniqe here and there, even over other pencillers.
