Description

Just a beautiful page from the early Symbiotic Spider-Man run by Ron Frenz, the artist that made it famous. The big, action filled panels make this one of the nicest pages from the run.

And I'm convinced that the final panel was roughly lightboxed to make the cover, as the images are a very close match (see attached pic).

Great action art by Frenz. Second panel is pure classic Marvel to let the villain get some shine while the hero gets pushed off the panel. The nostalgia factor of early Black suit, puts it over the top!

Oh that last panel is straight up the cover. I LOVE this, man. Black costume, Puma, Frenz, 4 mini splash battle...can't beat it IMO. And from the first ASM comic I ever remember picking up at the comic shop. Too awesome, Dan, major congrats!

Stunning battle page from the great Ron Frenz for Amazing Spider-Man! Love this sequence with Spidery (In his cool Black Suit) fighting Puma despite having an arm in a sling and a back injury. Fabulous inks by Brett Breeding really make the art pop off the page. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
