DescriptionJay’s pencils are legendary and I’d been waiting for the right piece to come along. SIKTC is my favorite newish book series and I was looking for an example. This cover checks both those boxes and I couldn’t be more thrilled to own this. The details are incredible and I love how Jay incorporated so many monster faces into the surrounding background. It fits the “hidden/invisible creature” theme of the series perfectly. Thanks Kirk!Social/Sharing |

The pencils are worked to a fine grain of a b&w photograph that is crystal clear and focused everywhere. A stunning effort by Jay as Erica looks ready to get back to work!

Unreal pencil renders by Anacleto! Corner to corner gorgeous graphite goodness! Character, background, no area left spared. Congrats!

Jay never ceases to amaze me. One piece is a must for any serious collection and this is a dandy. Baddass hot chick, power tool, and killer background.

Something is killing the children? Could it possibly be the maniacly masked individual wielding the machete and chainsaw? LOL! I have no idea what this book is about, but I just saw the title and looked at this cover and it seemed like the obvious conclusion. Anyway, I'm probably way off, but his cover is right on. Love the work on the trees. Just a great piece by Jay.

That was the exact question I asked myself when I first became aware of the series! 😂 It piqued my interest enough to give it a shot. It's a page turner for sure!

Anacleto's rendering is always terrific, and the faces in the trees are super-spooky. He does a lot of cheesecake, but I prefer his "power" images like this.

Whoaaa! Stunning variant cover to the incredible new series, "Something is Killing the Children" by Jay Anacleto. Fantastic drawing in near-photographic realism of Erika Slaughter pausing in the middle of battle with the evil monsters threatening kids and other humans. Erika holds a chain saw in one hand and a machete in another and appears to be assessing her enemy in mid-battle. But behind her, we can see the faces of more monsters in the tree behind her. An apt warning to all that monsters are all around us even when we don't see them. Jay Anacleto is one of the top illustrators working in comics today and this cover is a great example why. Phenomenal pick-up, congrats!
