DescriptionThis is our first look at Sean Murphy's Zorro: Man of the Dead. This promo poster was released before the launch of Sean's Kickstarter campaign and was used everywhere as the main image for the series. It was published as a cover to issue #1 , promotional poster, convention print, as a cover and splash page in the hardcover book, and other Kickstarter rewards. This piece reminds me of a classic movie poster. As a kid I loved The Mark of Zorro (1940 version with Tyrone Power) and watched that one over and over on a Betamax tape in the mid '80s. I also later loved the 1957 Disney Zorro TV series and the 1990 series on the Family Channel. Although this is an updated and modernized take on the character, it still has that nostalgic feel for being a character we all know and love. Social/Sharing |

Outstanding! Top notch vehicle design, great character pose, and layout. Absolutely love what he did with the Man of the Dead logo! The Disney series is definitely nostalgic to me as well. I just stared at this so hard that I looked down and there is a Z scrawled on my shirt!!!

Never seen a zoro story set in the time of the automobile. Intriguiing. Very nice by the way!

Great design showing forward momentum of Zorro heading towards the future carried by the hi-octane supercharged steel stallion!

Striking piece! Great design, and so nice to have one of Murphy's cars along with a vintage character

Not only the first image of Sean's adaptation but the most seen piece from his run and such a cool introduction that is unmistakably Sean! I dig the hand lettering too.

Love it, dude! Looks like a poster, cover, promo piece...all of the above. Which it is, lol! And SGM's style just flat out works for the character. Lettering on the board is a big bonus, IMO. Congrats!

Congrats on getting the first image of Sean's take on Zorro! Though looking at it, I still can't tell if it's more of a movie poster or a wanted poster. Either way, enjoy!
