Description

15" x 10" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Werewolf by Night #38 page 6 original art (Marvel, 1976). Don Perlin.

From the story "Rebirth Also Kills". Jack lets his werewolf rage shred a pack of real wolves. The transformation panel set with him reverting to his human form as the sun rises, is a real treat. Note how the series of three images start with Jack looking to one side and as he changes, his head turns to the other! I like the rear view of his hair in the second to last panel, reflecting his werewolf heritage. Or is it just a "bad hair day"?

Great page to own from the series with a transformation sequence. Perlin was a good artist for this character. Congrats.

So brutal! The three panel werewolf transformation is the best! You can fit that on a trading card! They got Prelin to do almost all the supernatural titles and they all had an aire of mystery and deep dread in the atmosphere.
