DescriptionContinuing with a few nonpublished X pieces with Kurt Wagner here, or should I say Kurt Vagna, “known in the Munich circus as the incredible Nightcrawler!” An exquisite rendition from Nate Stockman, great ar-teest and super nice guy!Saw this on his site and immediately liked it and am even more convinced now that it’s in hand. Great pose, got that sly, nay, devilish smile, and the COLORS. It’s almost looks like they were printed. Rich throughout, and in combo provide a nice contrast from the figure to the brimstone to the “BAMF” lettering. Just a fun piece, which has a throwback feel while still being fresh. And looking at it, I’m more convinced Nightcrawler’s one of the best comic designs ever. Thanks, Nate! Social/Sharing |

The combination of style and color comes together to make this a really FUN piece. Nightcrawler has ALWAYS been one of comicdom's coolest character designs!

I always love seeing Nightcrawler being treated in a more playful, joyful way, and with those colors and his gleeful smile, well, this one makes me very happy. Congrats!!

I agree that Nightcrawler is such a great character design. He even comes with his own sound effect! Love the pose and colors popping right off the page.

Right with you there, man - one of the best character designs, and this is a superb rendition of him. Fantastic colors here that pop Kurt out without being at all distracting from the main figure. Really eye-popping work! Super pick up, K - great grab!

Thanks, man, and yeah, exactly! The colors are so rich, particularly the red and blue, they don't look hand done! Was eager to get it in hand so I could get up close and verify they were lol :)

i always find nathans work to be so refreshing. always fun with a great sense of motion. this nightcrawler is no different. even the simple stuff is really elegant. plus...he has always been super kind and easy to work with :)
