When Emily was kidnapped by denizens of the lost civilization of Abyssia, Tatsu, with the Outsiders in tow, set out to rescue her. You’re not our prisoner, you’re our Queen, Emily’s abductors insist. One mystical ritual later, aided by the close proximity of Hailey’s comet, and Emily is transformed into the confident and extroverted Looker!Writer Mike W. Barr’s concept of Abyssia might have had Edgar Rice Burroughs for inspiration, and their Queen’s raiment certainly possesses the appropriately kitschy look for that genre. The costume design is that of a ballet dancer and superhero bringing back a look that's very 70's fashion inspired. Cleary plays up the miracle tight stretchy fabrics of the leotard and puts a bow on it with a sexy pose.
