DescriptionThe five issue 2023 Storm series is interjected into well established X-Men lore circa issues 170-171. This story takes place just after Storm adopted her “punk” look and assumed leadership of the X-Men. During one of her early missions as a leader, Storm sees promise in the team’s ability to work together after facing the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, even if Rogue isn’t fond of being critiqued afterward. Storm also faces resistance to her sudden elevation as leader, especially from Kitty Pryde.Continuing the cheap yet satisfying X-stalgia postings with more Kitty Pryde, fresh to the X-Men Rogue, and mohawk Storm. Sid Kotian delivers some loose art, perhaps even still a bit rough in some of the faces, but I dig it. Just watch your back Ororo, Callisto May coming looking for her vest! Social/Sharing |

New boy inks the art so good
Brings out stares and it's understood
Sid's there just to take good care of me
Like we're one whole X-family
Charles in charge of
Our page's Kotian lines
Charles in charge of
Our Rogue and our fights
And I say I want, I want Charles in charge of me
Charles in charge, not
Her place hurt my Pryde
Charles in charge of
Our Rogue's Mutant rights
And I say don't want Storm in charge of me

Dragons, horses, ferris-wheels, and cat fights! This page has it all!

Interestingly enough, although the pencils are very different, I see a bit of the approach Dan Green used to use over Silvestri here. The art is loose but it keeps the figures from getting too stiff. I dig it. Nice page! Is this a series of different titles that begin where previous stories left off decades ago?

There have been a few titles that revisit old story arcs and timelines. I'm not sure if there have been any other character focused mini series like the Storm one though. I just happened into Sid's art over at Geoff M's art sales while looking for Star Wars art. Serendipitous.

Was a fun series expanding on storyline from Ororo's mohawk sportin' times! Great page from it! Congrats!
