DescriptionI had intended to post this Mandalorian cover on May 4th, however with the unfortunate passing of Carl Weathers it seemed like the time to post this as a tribute to him and the indelible mark he had on the entertainment industry. This cover depicts the escape of Greef Karga and Cara Dune in the Trexler Marauder, while being chased by tie fighters, as seen in The Siege season 2 episode of The Mandalorian, which was directed by Carl Weathers. From Apollo Creed to Al Dillion to Chubbs Peterson and Greef Karga there are not many actors that have played iconic roles spanning so many decades. RIP Carl WeathersIn regards to the cover, a published DWJ Star Wars related cover? This was a no brainer for me to go after this last NYFC, I am super happy to add it to my collection. I am still holding out hope we will one day get a full DWJ Star Wars mini series. Social/Sharing |

You can tell by all his home brewed mini comics and the numerous commissions that DWJ really has a passion for Star Wars. The mech and environments of Star Wars hold a great fascination as they too were designed to reflect the SW universe and the factions behind them. Here we get the previously toy form only 1977 Imperial Transport that finally made its debut in the Mandalorian TV series! DWJ draws the heck out the bathtub shaped vehicle to make it look cool as a hot rod!

With Carl's passing, the Mandalorian story line will always feel somehow incomplete without an end cap for Greef Karga. As usual, DWJ capture all of the kinetic thrill of the chase during that episode. Congrats!
