It's like Gil Kane used his Green Lantern design sense and Nebres put an illustration sheen over it! Nebres may have provided some of the more refined work of Gil Kane's 70's art by smoothing out the anatomy and facial expressions.

Thanks Marcus! One fun thing about the main villain is that Stara Khan's face design is quite reminiscent of Sinestro (both created by Gil Kane)
