Aphrodite IX by David Finch w/ Bob Almond: Blueline Commission

Stephane Fernandez returns to the Almond commission gallery with two more 8.5"x11" blue lines for me to ink to size on 2-ply board (16th & 17th). For this one, I got a simple but stylized sketch of Aphrodite IX (Topcow) a co-creation of David Wohl & David Finch, whose sketch it was. It's my third time inking David Finch and 2nd time inking his character (the first time was over Diego Bernard). This kind of work is the toughest as I'm trying to capture the nuances of his spontaneous sketch line but in ink I'm not going to be able to capture that life in the lines. I could have attempted to change the image and make it more my own but I don't think that's what the client would've wanted. This was done January 17 of 2023.
