JLA The Nail was one of the most widely acclaimed Alan Davis works of the time as DC went on to present it in squarebound prestige format. Every glossy page showed off the meticulous storyteling he wrote and drew. This is a great page with the aftermath of Batman killing the Joker. The appearance of Batmite is the only break from the bleakness. Very emotional scenes with Catwoman, Alfred, and an emotionally wracked Bruce Wayne.
