Description
This is not the original cover but a commission based on the original pencils to The Nail TPB.

According to Alan Davis: "The paper stock I used for this double page spread was great to pencil on but far less accommodating for ink. Not a problem with a large image but this was pretty detailed. I traced the whole thing through onto a more ink friendly paper-- And I'm glad I did because the inked original was lost/mislaid/stolen. So, IF anyone does think they have the original cover, they don't. I do!

I guess this one's a keeper for him if he's willing to do all this work to recreate it instead of selling the original.

He didn't keep it - it was lost or stolen.

Then it definitely was a labor of love to make this all over again.

Alan Davis is most likely the best super hero artist ever and this is hard proof of that statement.
