Description
Terry Moore.
i'm not sure what i can say to give the man justice.
back in late 90's/early 00's i worked with a kid at a toystore that i really got along well with and we were talking comics. i mentioned liking Strangers in Paradise and he said that creator was a hack. i defended my tastes and decided i still liked this kid even if his comic book tastes were different than mine. later on he told me Terry was his dad and he was just messing with me.
so, i saw him at SDCC and he offered to introduce me to his dad. wow.
it was cool at the time but i had no idea how it would change and shape my life after that.
i have a few terry's in my collection but none match the memories i have of spending time the Moore's. one of my greatest fortunes is having them as friends 20+ years later.

Met Terry at a London convention back in 1997 and he was very pleasant which ties in with your sweet reminiscence. Obviously you leave a lot unsaid  but you should always leave us wanting more. Thank you for your story.

lets just say we all kept in touch which led to the great memories and also allowed me to gett to meet many others through the family that i also then built relationships with, etc.

great time, great memories -- and it all started with a recommendation of the first SiP trade at my comic shop (BEDROCK in Houston)

There is a moral in there, you know. Stay true to yourself and you will reap the rewards. Comics fandom is a broad church which encompasses many genres and subject matters. Superheroes have probably been looked down on by “normal” people for years until it became “mainstream”. SIP is no more for just female readers as Locas or Ghost World is.
