Description
Along with being a great pair of talented guys with a wicked sense of humor, Rich Larson and Steve Fastner really offer a lot of bang for the buck when it comes to sketches/remarques. When I found out that the commission idea I'd solicited from them had made its way to being the cover of their most recent collection, I obviously had to get a copy. Even better, they were also generously offering bonus sketches for a very modest additional price.

I spent a long while trying to come up with an idea for a sketch that both fit the theme of the book and worked with their style and humor. It eventually hit me that it might be fun to have the cover girl from my original commission project sitting on a playground "spring rider" instead of a carousel. I requested that she be scrunched up, sitting on something that was obviously too small for her, with a bored/pouty expression on her face, as if she couldn't believe she was being further objectified. Rich loved the idea and once again knocked it out of the park, creating the silliest/goofiest possible kiddie version of Cerberus and Steve did a great job with the colored pencils.

Fun concept. Their book sketches are one of the best deals in comic art

Agreed!  It would've been a bargain at twice the price.  I literally was laughing out loud when I opened the package and saw it.
