my memory as best as i can recall......
my first con after SDCC was.....underwhelming. no offense to anyone involved but after sdcc a local show just wasn't the same. it couldn't be. on top of that this was right after 9/11 so almost everyone that was supposed to come couldn't b/c of flights being grounded.
luckily one artst lived close enough to drive to the show from Dallas.
on top of that, he was really good!
i remember talking Black Sabbath with him and i left him my book and i just said go full sabbath on it. when he handed it back he said he was actually thinking about monster magnet while he drew it. again, my memory from 22 years ago.....so i could be wrong on all of this.
