Description

So I have not read this graphic novel. By all accounts, the story is a mess. You hear a lot of stuff about Dave Sim, which I have not followed and I am not aware of. So why did I buy this page from Heritage ... because I was floored by Carson Grubaugh's graphics. The byline of the book is "A Metaphysical History of Comics Photorealism" and it delivers. Amazing detail and layouts. Just cool to look at.

So, take this with a grain of salt, but my memory of the time this project was being solicited was that Dave Sim was going to write AND draw it, as he had already done another comic in which he emulates the style of Alex Raymond and other great strip artists. But who knows, maybe this Carson Grubaugh guy is a real person and not a pseudonym. Either way, it's a beautiful page!
