DescriptionWizard 98 Cover - SupermanEd McGuinness and Jason Martin. This cover hangs on my wall, archival matted and framed behind UV protected glass. This was one of the covers to issue #98 of Wizard Magazine. It's too bad it went out of publication. Can you imaging all the amazing artwork we could have if it was still going? Anyway, this is one of my favorite pieces of artwork created by Ed of Superman. Thanks to Ed and Jason for creating this. Social/Sharing |

Impressive. He amusingly (re)used the same pose as the Mr Majestic 1 cover (I own) which predates this issue by a month (then again, it's a pretty standard flying hero pose).

McGuinness powerhouse! Yet, it is compact with extreme foreshortening artistry! Wizard definitely commissioned a lot of art for the magazine back in their heyday. It had the clubhouse feel for a long time until the internet and instant news cycle pushed them towards the convention business as Wizard World and now named Fan Expo.

Totally agree with you about Wizard. The covers were always so awesome and this supercover by Ed McGuinness is no different!

I remember this one distinctly! I think I still got the Wizard mag here somewhere! Super heroic, great depth..all good. Congrats!

Amazing work by McGuinness! Nobody draws the Man of Steel quite like him. This is everything you would want in a Superman cover.
