Hermann - Bernard Prince 1966

This is the 'First page'/'title page' from the 'Bernard Prince' comic series 'Le Troisieme Témoin'. 'Bernard Prince' is regarded as one of the greatest European comic series of all time and is drawn by the Belgian comic legend Hermann Huppen (born 1938). This story was one of the very first 'Bernard Prince' stories to be published (nr 3, 4, or 5) and the main character can be seen in almost every panel on the page.

These early short stories were published as 4-page stories in the Belgian comic magazine 'Tintin' and served as an introduction to the characters and universe before longer stories were published later. There are few originals from these early short stories.

Due to the order of publications in my home country, Norway, not being entirely accurate, I am a little unsure about exactly when this story was drawn. However, the date 01/04/1966 is inscribed at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, this is all the indication I have of when this page was drawn.
