This is great!
Out beyond the reaches
Dagobah's blood moon, you show, a cover that attracts
And through the thinning chances
I watched Force may light turn
And wondered if the Empire's Striking Back
I know my father's Vader
Come hell or high Yoda
Sprouse has come to find you
Shadowed into Story's work inked neat 'til it got you in its spell
They asked if I had seen Luke
But I've got no love Bespin
Like Fett, they can go to hell
I know my father's Vader
Come hell or Skywalker
Never gonna leave him
Despite the rights or wrongs
I've got Luke and I hope that you know
A great piece from a classic battle! By the way, almost EVERYONE thinks that The Empire Strikes Back was the best of all the Star Wars films.
Just look at Vader nonchalantly parrying him. Showing him ahead of time that one hand is all that's needed.
Teach your children well
Their father's hell did slowly go by
Nice cover!! Marvel (and the artists) did a great job with those ESB variants for the 40th anniversary. I especially dig all the negative space utilized within the layout/design componenets of this cover and it's hard to top that scene/lightsaber fight in a film with so many memorable moments
"Big reveal"?
Gorgeous!
I like how how the perspective is a bit tilted, perhaps foreshadowing the big reveal? I also give Empire kudos for not being another New Hope. It was quite different. I loved it. Congratulations on this great pickup!
