Wow! What a stunning page from Jungle Action #20! The Black Panther is investigating a rumor of Klan activity and is captured by the Klan! What a shockingly powerful page from a 1976 Marvel comic! It's a very political message for its time. To their credit, Marvel didn't shy away from controversial subject matter like this. The art was, of course, penciled by Billy Graham, the first black artist hired by Marvel and he did an amazing job on this page. That middle panel, with T'Challa being grabbed and manhandled by robe-wearing Klu Klux Klan members is still shocking in its directness. You can see the burning cross just behind the KKK members holding the Black Panther. This page is truly amazing for its strong message against racism! Thanks for sharing!
