Prelim for an unpublished sequel to DC's The Bible comic. Here's the auction listing:
In 1975, DC released the tabloid-sized Limited Collectors' Edition #C-36 The Bible. Of course, it wasn't the entire Bible. In fact, it was only selected stories from the Old Testament. But there were plans in the working for a follow-up volume that would have been titled Life in the Days of the Bible. This prelim page was to be titled "The Carpenter's Shop", and the accompanying stat page shows the final inked linework by Nestor Redondo. The prelim page was created in graphite on 8.5" x 14".

New Testament stories showing the values Jesus grew up with would have been a banger! Woodworking and carpentry would have shown Jesus' ideals of patience and hard work. Even values of love and tolerance are somehow even too controversial today for the $60 bible thumpers.
