"Friends" ** Dennis Mukai ** 1987

Original Prismacolor on heavy cardstock white Paper. This RARE drawing is different for Mukai, who typically did portraits of women in this style during this period. But this beautifully detailed marker illustration is of two best friends that happen to be Janet Jones Gretsky (Wayne's future wife!) and her bestie Linda Buchanan. I just fell in love with the drawing when it was offered to me. Dennis titled it "Friends"

18" x 24" paper. Signed Mukai 1987 lower right. Original MIRAGE EDITIONS curvetailed seamless frame with Acid Free Rag board and Matte DM 964 (Same presentation as Nagel originals). Frame was in near perfect condition and I wouldn't change it! I prefer to keep this one unless Janet or Linda have to have it or I get a crazy offer. Anyone friends with them now? I wanted to share. These are so much better in person! So colorful and bright white paper.
