DescriptionEnd splash to the first story in Superman Taschenbuch #72 by Keith Giffen & Romeo Tanghil.Saving the best for last. The first piece I bought in the last CAF live event and the only piece I bought on the first day! Heck, I bought it in the first hour. My usual MO is to wait until day two to buy something or make an offer. No FOMO for me, I've been in the game too long to worry about that. However, there are exceptions. This was one of them. It was love at first sight! I've never seen this page or story. I knew about the Ehapa series as pages occasionally pop up for sale, but I've never seen this page. I love the image. The way Superman is lit underneath by the sun. The way Giffen plays with the shadows on Superman. Beautiful page. A big classic looking Superman by one of my all time favorites, Keith Giffen, there was no way I was going to pass on it or wait. I couldn't send the email fast enough. A little about the page and comic. In the early 1980s DC Comics produced new material exclusively for foreign markets. DC's German licensee, Ehapa Verlag was one of them. A few of these were later reprinted in the US, the UK, and elsewhere, but not all. This story was first published in Germany and was never published in the United States. The story is titled "The Wall to Infinity" Superman by Keith Giffen and Romeo Tanghal. On a 11X17 board. 1985 Good Luck and enjoy the CAF live event!! Go buy some art! Social/Sharing |

If you browsed or had your keyword set, you certainly spotted one of the best images of CAF Live that round!

I like the lighting on this one, great contrast.
Would look amazing framed!

This is one of my favourite pieces out of all the ones you shared during the live unboxing show we did together! Even the text underneath Superman is really good. Honestly, it's kind of a perfect Superman piece!

Funny. Great minds think alike. In one version of the description I actually wrote it was the perfect Giffen Superman.
