Description“Star Trek: the Motion Picture” (Robert Wise, 1979), Birney Lettick poster concept. Lettick was one of the artists that came up with concept proposals for the film’s one sheet. This one in particular actually made it to the next stage at the studio, and he painted a color version for the poster (that remained unused). The color painting is part of the Science Fiction Archives (check additional pics to see the painting and the poster presentation that they came up with).Social/Sharing |

I like this theme that they were going for with a space egg! The concept is solid for one of those cerebral prestige sci-fi stories.
