Legs Weaver #77 (2002) pages 90-91: Saved by lizard-men

Just when all seems lost in the flooding hotel, amphiboid mutants arrive to save May, Dan, and Sara, providing enough mouth-to-mouth breath that they can swim to the surface.

“Air! Who are you?”

“Legs sent me. We saw the bathyscaphe come out of here and break out the windows two floors above this one, and we guessed what was happening! We will take you to safety!”

“It's impossible... We have no way of holding our breath long enough to make it to the surface!”

“No problem. We'll give you oxygen! Now let's go! Let's go back to the surface.”

“Let's take it slow. This woman is injured but it doesn't appear serious. She'll be fine!”

"Oww!"

“Damn... but what's going on over there?”

“Damn it, Shon! Those are survivors... and they saw us!”

“Not necessarily. We need to get away from here as soon as possible and move inland. When help arrives, we will take advantage of the confusion to leave the island!”
