Description

Earlier this year I bought the Haslab Deathsaurus toy by Hasbro. I wanted to see if I could recreate that feeling I had in 1987 when I first bought and played with the toys of Sixshot and Scorponok. Surprisingly, the transformation process was fairly easy and fun with Deathsaurus. So when this page from Guido Guidi of Deathsaurus became available for sale, I just had to have it. (thanks Guido). I particularly like the manga look of Deathsaurus in the last panel.

Cool looking Transformers page! Interesting that the published/colored version has an almost zippatone like effect even though the original art didn't have any zip

With the blue/white/red color scheme and the courage against all odds vibe up top, kinds reminds me of Captain America :) Great pure illustration throughout. Congrats on a nice looking piece that also takes you back to the toys as a kid!

WIth so much attention being paid to the new Transformers series, it's nice to see a page from the first Transformers series to be reminded why we all enjoyed it so much. This is a cool action page from Guido Guidi with a stunning image of Deathsaurus! He looks so cool here, and his grin in the final panel is downright chilling. The layout of the page is perfect and the Transformers have never looked better! Gorgoeus inks really take the page to another level. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
