DescriptionHere is another wonderful representative example of what the Duke mini-series is all about. Duke on his mission of discovery, trying to figure out the mystery of the giant robot that killed his friend. This one, in such a perfect way shows just how this encounter weighs heavily on Duke and shows the burden that he is carrying.Tom Reilly continues to impress & this series serves as a perfect entry point to the GI Joe corner of the Energon Universe, easily the most fun I am currently having in comics! If at all interested, I recorded an unboxing video when this package of art arrived from Modern Mythology Comic Art (Tom’s Rep) https://youtu.be/O0vRPkFXr1g?si=UmNiILlj2mBhDxyw Social/Sharing |

Probably the major fork in the road of the entire series. Duke has a choice to join the Baroness or stay loyal to his country. A real connective crossover page of the wider Energon Universe!

All framed by a very significant moment in the young Energon Universe, the Starscream encounter! Quite the crucial fork in the road indeed!

A great looking page which evokes Darwyn Cooke's art!

I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. Wonderful page that is not only representative of the crossover connections between Transformers and G.I.Joe in Skybound, but a Baroness/Duke relationship that works much better than the live-action films!

It was a brave and honestly smart choice by having Duke be the first Joe connection. Hard to imagine anyone choosing Duke as their favorite Joe character so by starting here, breaking him down to build him back up...I actually like Duke now. Loved what they did with his character here & having Duke interact with both Baroness & Destro separately was also pretty brilliant! Very excited for what's to come in the Energon Universe!
