Description

Wow. This is one of those pages that you see and think I have no chance in picking that up. Someone will get it before me. How will the stars align. I saw this in a video from one of the Lake Como attendees and it was love at first sight so when I visited Sean's booth at Dallas Fan Expo and flipped to this page, a few 80's love songs started playing in mind. Seriously though, normally I would just say enjoy, but there are so many things that made this page come home with me. First panel, check out the shadow, though a much older Bruce and Dick are fighting the shadow oints back to the old days. Panel 2- You have the original dynamic duo running into battle. Panel 3 you have SGM vehicles. If you have a page of SGM art, you want a vehicle in it. Next Batman drops the bomb (if you look closely you can see Bomb on it) and then the duo running away from the explosion and then the back to back against everyone. WOW WOW WOW.

Congrats on the pickup! In addition to featuring a great Bruce/Dick team-up moment, it really does have some of the signature SGM elements, from the shadows to the vehicles, and (my personal favorite) the random captions/sound effects (like "bomb").

SGM likes drawing his vehicles and even draws the heroes in armor like they are cars with sleek lines and dynamic moves!

Most SGM art is at least 7/10 because he is just so good. A very big chunk is 10/10 because it is so detailed and awesome. And then you get to see pages like these that go off the scale and are at least 15/10!!! Amazing piece! Thanks for sharing!
