Description"Korean Combat!" by unknown author. Harvey published Warfront.A four-man patrol is sent to recover an abandoned Sherman tank. They find it but the motor is shot. North Korean soldiers discover the tank and the patrol, which kills most of the enemy but loses one of their own. On this penultimate page, a Chinese sniper in a tree kills the second man carrying his fallen comrade. The patrol shoots the sniper from the tree. Before he dies, however, he tosses a grenade at them, blinding one and wounding the other in the legs. Social/Sharing |

So timely with America joinign the war in 1950. The sequence without word balloons speaks so loudly!

Uh! The storytelling is so clear and visually stunning! I never cared much for Powell's superhero work, but this is devastatingly beautiful. The soldier's hand and grenade breaking out of panel 5 is a sumptuous stroke of genius! Kudos on owning this, Peter!

Wonderful pacing throughout this gem. The brushwork is exquistie. Creating a lush landscape but at the same time allowing appropiate white space to silhouette the figures when needed. Such clever use of blacks to emphasize that dramatic explosion!
So glad this one landed with you Peter. The Bob Powell example your fine collection deserves! Congrats.
