Description

"A magical oldie by Mike Mayhew."

A fellow Belgian collector was selling some sketches & commissions, and this one caught my eye. Considering the price - as much as Mayhew's current pricing for signatures and half that of his remark pricing -, I didn't have to think twice.

I saw Mike at Como back in 2022, but I couldn't justify the pricing back then versus what I had already spent on some other artists. This was a great opportunity to still scratch that art itch.

I got lucky with the character, too. I love Scarlet Witch's design & she is a character I always enjoy seeing artists embrace their creativity with.

This was done in pencils & inks on a square 8x8" board back in 2008.

Nice vintage! The looseness has an effect of making her even more beautiful as each line means more in dramatic weight.
