Now this is a beauty!! Love this one. A rare two figure convention sketch from Walt, Dr. Fate and Khalis.

From the One Minute Later Collection of Michael Finn.

According to Simonson's Fcabook page...

The Doctor Fate figure was done at Baltimore Comic-con 2012 (at the Hero Initiative table). The following year, 2013, Michael asked Walt if he'd consider drawing a Khalis (the villainous mummy from the First Issue Special written by Martin Pasko) as an addition for some extra bucks for Hero Initiative. Walt was recovering from being a little under the weather just before the con, so he took the piece home to finish it.

A one minute later of the Immortal Dr. Fate #1 cover. That was such a cool cover and I remember it well. I'm blown away by this piece, Walt really did a great job on this piece. Fits really well in my DC Comics collection. Just a really cool Dr. Fate by Simonson. I love that you can see all of Walt's pencils under the inks.

Also included is a bluelined ink piece by Joe Rubinstein. Joe's inks are extremely faithful to Walt's and did a great job of refining/sharpening some of the edges. Really cool. Blueline is also signed by Walt.

A Simonson commission was impossible outside of charity, one this involved would have been in the "Angel" tier of giving. Well worth it as it is a win-win for everyone!

Yeah, this one kicks a lot of serious ass. I thionk Dr Fate is one of the coolest looking superheroes and tailor made for Simonson's style. I also love mummies, so that's a sweet bonus!
