The Rocketeer was, without doubt, Dave Stevens� Masterwork. Launched as a back-up feature in Starslayer published by Pacific Comics in 1982, it would soon graduate to its own title and garner a loyal following during the course of ensuing decades. Stevens� evident love of the era, his admiration of Glamour Queen Bettie Page and meticulous eye for detail contributed to the creation of a high-octane adventure that was a joy to experience. Joe Johnston�s movie adaptation in 1991 continued that trend, delivering a much-loved entertainment that holds up well to this day! Here, Peter returns to Stevens� inspiration, the fabulous Bettie Page, and offers an evocative piece complete with Art-Deco design elements and the comics-original single-engine rocket pack.
