Description

Not comic art, but by a comic artist, Brian Stelfreeze does the most amazing commissions. I think it's pastels? Sam Cooke is my favorite singer, and who I believe is the greatest singer to ever walk the earth. The man and his music is the first CD I ever owned, and I think Night Beat is one of the greatest albums ever made. A great artist, drawing a great artist. I was proud to have the official Sam Cooke instagram feed feature this image as well.

Stelfreeze's lens makes the legends shine! A pure slice of Americana in a portrait of Cooke that Stelfreeze brings sweet loving to!

Wonderful - such mastery of colour. (Doesn't look like pastels, or at least not only pastels. But I haven't seen the original of course...)

Beautifully done! I love the glow radiating off Cooke's face. He also did a great job on the microphone.
