DescriptionI picked this up directly from Steve in 2023, and he explained that he drew the panels individually and then "Frankestein'ed" them into photoshop in a page layout, and emailed the file to Jay where he printed the page onto bluelines and inked over it.Although it says "Rough", he assured me that this was the final pencil piece. This is the panel where Wolverine is covered in adamantium. Steve told me that the extra piece was added digitally after editorial requested it. Social/Sharing |

Pretty incredible pencil work where you can feel the ooze and Logan drowning!

Quite the moment captured in graphite. I remember reading this and being let down by the colors a bit - it's very nice to see the original pencils. Congrats!

Such an amazing Panel that really started his "death" sequence. Great find that goes with your following panel.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a comic panel quite like this one. No character, no background, no work balloons or titles. Just flowing lines representing liquid adamantium oozing down on Wolverine, burying him in molten metal. Oh wait, I can see a hand and part of a face...but they're disappearing fast...This is really a different kind of panel. But it works when you see the printed page. How would it look if you framed it on a wall?
