Description
Once again Garry Wharton illustrated one of my favourite characters on the envelope he sent me. This is just wonderful. =D

Great bonus!  The wear and tear of going through the mail adds character and age to the drawing.  For the an older character like the Golden Age Sandman, it works as part of the artistic process.

Hehe that's true, the creases do make it look more retro. I'm just glad no one has put a stamp or sticker or something on the envelope illustrations so far! =D

A date stamp might be cool though.  It makes the drawing look government endorsed and going through the mail is “the poor man's copyright.”  It doesn't really work that way though.

Aah I see what you mean. Though come to think of it I don't think I've seen those classical ink postal date stamps in a long long time!!
