There's no denying that Jack Kirby of the 40's had heroes that made a mark in the youth of that era. Some 30 years later, people were still inspired enough to pay tribute to him in this fashion. It must have meant the world to the King knowing his work did not go wasted and helped raise a generation preaching heroic ideals.
