Unused cover - Syndic? by Eddie Jones

I agree that it looks like it could have been the first attempt at the cover for Syndic, given what the published one looks like. But the big argument against that theory is that yours shows the gun weilder as someone out of Vietnam circa 1966-1974, while the gun weilder (and creature) on the published cover are clearly from the far flung future. Of course, if the story involves time travel to both of these eras, then I'd bet it IS the first attempt at a cover for this book.

Unfortunately niether the actual cover or  unpublished one reflects the story of the novel. It's set in the future where central governments have collapsed and tribalism dominates most of the world while North America is divided between rival criminal syndicates.
