Freaking fantastic!!!!
Oh man brother! This was you! So damn good. Congrats!
Wwwwwooooowwwww!!!!!
Nice pick-up Felix!
Freaking awesome!!!! Wow!
This is great Felix, congrats!
So happy for you, glad this piece was for your collection! Between this, Malcom's Emma, and Mandel's Bazarro - some fortunate collectors really had a great Quitely experience!
Nailed it!
great image - and color as well!
If anyone deserves this it is certainly you. Wowsa
Spectacular!
This is fantastic, Felix! So great to see Frank take a request and elevate the end commission to an entirely different level.
Once upon a Miller year
When all our Marvels disappeared
The criminals inside came out to play
Went page to page with all our fears
Learned commissions through the years
Pen memories we knew would never fade
One day, a dealer, he told me, "Son, don't let this slip away"
He took me in his charms, I heard him say
"When you get older your wild art will live for younger days
Think Quitely if ever you're afraid"
He said, "One day, you'll leave this work behind
So live a life you will remember"
Melchior told me wait for this just a while
"These are Dark Knights that never die"
A dealer told me
I'm so used to seeing Quitely's light, delicate pencils...his coloring is amazing.
In glorious color!
Just wow!
Insane!
That's a heck of a commission! Congrats!
Yeah, that works!
wow, that is pretty incredible - congrats!
What a beauty. Love this one, Felix.
Awesome commission! An original take on a timeless theme. Love the cape swept hard to the side, reminiscent of the first cover and even Marv's coat to my eye
The soft pastel colors... such an interesting choice; they give it an ethereal feel. The inks have a Miller-inked DKR quality, as seen through Frank's lense. Congrats!
I thought I had recently scored a killer Quitely, but this is a whole different level. Wow, and congrats. It's like seeing something that should have been a long time ago.
Outstanding! Channeling Miller but still all Quitely. Also love the color work, particularly using that lighter shade of blue. Huge congrats on getting a big collector target hit!
Check left hook then head kick. You got this. Now get back in there!
Never saw Quitely color work before. Wow!
Amazing piece! Major congrats!
Frank Miller meets Frank Quitely. Our two favorites combined into one. Vin absolutely knocked it out of the park.
Killer commission from the legendary Frank Quitely! Wow, does he ever capture the look and feeling of Miller's Dark Knight! I love Batman's grimace here, and the swelling on his lips from the fight. The slightly stocky body and the somewhat pudgy midriff remind us that he's not as young as he used to be. But the drawing also conveys, he's not giving up, he's going to keep fighting. As Willie Nelson sings, "Don't let the old man in!"
Love every single line! Wonderful! Thanks for sharing, Felix.
The detail is truly outstanding.
Wow, I love it, it looks like an update to the style that a current Miller would have.
