I really like how the artists has carved this image out of the blank page. Great rendering, and it's safe to say that raven won't be tap tap tapping anymore.

this had me with the raven being chomped! awesome subject to tackle, super cool style, had not heard of the artist, always cool to learn about a new one - thanks for sharing!

Wow! That's like the wierdest, but coolest, thing I've seen in a while. I've always loved those inked portraits of great writers they used to post at Barnes and Noble and for a moment, this reminded me of them. Only then I noticed that Edgar Allan Poe was missing an eye and his face was all scratched up and he had bird poop on his shoulder and I thought what's going on??? That's when I noticed the dead raven clenched in his teeth and I realized that poor Mr. Poe had fought with the Raven he'd made famous and had managed to kill the bird bult not before it had taken out an eye and pecked the hell out of his face and hair. I don't know why this happened, or what the artist had in his mind, but it sure amused me. Interesting post, I'd love to hear more.
