i dunno about everyone else but i still say Goofed when inspiration hits. congrats on the non-grail grail!
Your mom probably just assumed you'd always be a trouble maker and gave up a long time ago. Haha.
Cool looking page from a great period.
Hail Lord Satanis!
Is it blasphemous to use grail and Satanus in the same paragraph? Better watch yourself around lighting storms!
Hopefully Superman took a breath mint before the first panel of this page. Nice add!!!
Blowing, bullwhips...Supes is in all the action!
Easy to see how Lord Satanis would have been fun to draw as a kid. Congrats on landing your grail buddy!
I'm just happy you got to Show & Tell us all about this piece on YouTube! It's silly but great all at once!
What a mighty image for the birth of Lord Satanis! The entrance definitely leaves an impression as even Superman is left to look up in awe!
Glad you found something that made you happy, Brother!
No need to fear LORD SATANIS is here! Fun pick up John!
This is so Cool! Love it!
Alright, a coupel grails added today! Looks like a fun story...and the Comics Code allowed it?! :) Huge congrats, John!
Clark, we're not in Kansas anymore!
It takes all types, such a crazy page and awesome that it found a great home.
Congrats on finding a gem from your youth! Everyone needs those pieces that pop up and mean something special to them!
Superman pages like this were a big part of my childhood as well. And I fondly remember reading them endlessly when I could have been reading my school books. What a great example from those days! I always loved stories where Superman would go into the past and be confronted by angry villagers who would mistake his powers for signs of Satan. And in this story, he actually shows up! Perfect example of the classic Superman stories drawn by Curt Swan and Dave Hunt. I especially love the way that last panel is so much bigger than the rest, making Satanis himself seem bigger! Great work from a fun era!
Wow!! Curt Swan and Superman!! Simply great!!
Lovely page. Congrats
Classic Swan Superman, congrats on the grail!
Sorry John, I just realized that I never commented on this nor thought to see it in your gallery. It was a pleasure to be a part of a dream coming true. I have been rewarded with similar situations where I got a piece I thought impossible. It's these things that make the collecting so meaningful. And nostaligia aside, this is just one kick-ass page!!!!!!!!
Thanks again. I appreciate you helping a random stranger out. You are one of the good ones.
