Description

So this was an auction purchase (after missing it once). The reason I wanted this was purely the layout. I thought this was such a cool way to show the duality between the characters ... not just with the character, but with the background. I had not heard of Yong Montaño previously. Unsurprisingly, a very talented Filipino illustrator. Surprisingly, not from the DC stable.

Some great pure 70's artistry! Yong Montaño flashes brilliance here with two worlds in this cleverly split DPS. Probably worked more in the magazine horror, classics illustrated, etc. side of Marvel that superhero fans don't see often. The sophistication does remind me of the finest Komiks of the Philippines.

Hot damn! It's not often that a character transformation page also encapsulates the entire background. Love the concept and execution of this. Great pick up!
