Sam Kieth was such a unique talent and I'm sure the entire comic world was stunned and certainly saddened with his passing. I was excited to share this when I acquired it but now it'll have to serve as a tribute to a talent that left us too soon.

I've been wanting to get a page from this book for awhile now, after missing out on one nearly a decade ago due to lack of funds. Then, took a hiatus from collecting and when I came back, sticker shock set in and I never came around to pursuing another one until now. When this one popped up, I hesitated a lot less.

The first two panels are simply fantastic. Great Sam Kieth portraits, massive fist smashing down, the movement and reverberating sound effects reflected in the word balloons; all so amazing. The third panel with Hulk and Wolverine, fists down and claws out with the little ghost girl Po peeking into the black hole from above ties it altogether. The whole ghostly story had a dark, but frivolous atmosphere to it, which echoes in this page perfectly. It's heightened by the black adhesive used to create a border, which I've never seen outside of the pages in this book. But I also don't own any other Sam Kieth pages so it may be a tool he uses commonly.

Simply a beautiful work of art. You will be missed.

Congrats on a perfect Kieth example. You've got the characters, a unique panel layout, delicate brushwork, text incorporation, and that unique Kiethian vibe throughout.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Incredible Wolverine/Hulk page by the great Sm Kieth. Love Kieth's stylization of the Hulk in the first panel--That expression on his face is priceless! And that fist is ginormous! Then you have his great depiction of Wolvie in the second panel--Fantabulous! And finally, the confrontation scene with both of them in the third panel is classic! Stunning page, congrats!
